Delivering Insulin
Weekly schedule
In order to use the Weekly Schedule, it must be
turned on in Setup > Personalize > Advanced (see
page 103).
Once turned on, Weekly Schedule will replace Basal
Pattern in the main menu. You must then program
daily schedules for the pump to use.
Using Weekly Schedule, you can personalize the
pump to change basal patterns and missed meal bolus
alert sets automatically, on a daily basis, to t your
lifestyle.
For example, if you work a twelve-hour shi three
days a week, you could choose basal patterns and
missed meal bolus alert sets for those specic work
days, and have dierent sets of basal patterns and
missed meal bolus alert sets for non-work days. In
this way insulin delivery follows your specic daily
routine, encouraging better blood glucose control.
Edit basal patterns
Warning: It is vital that the basal patterns are en-
tered correctly. If a basal rate is too high or too
low, all your insulin delivery throughout the day
and night will be incorrect.
Warning: Many things can aect how your body
uses insulin. Contact your healthcare provider
before making big lifestyle changes. For ex-
ample, starting or stopping an intensive exer-
cise program, or if you experience a signicant
weight loss or weight gain, etc. In these cases
your basal rates may need to be modied.
Your healthcare provider will help you as you pro-
gram your basal patterns. You may be asked to test
your blood glucose level multiple times at various
times of day and night, and over a period of a few
days and chart the results to identify your insulin
needs. e Basal Testing feature can be used to help
you in this testing (see page 210).
