Preparing for CozMore®

Preparing for your pump start

Prior to pump start day



1 Conrm that you have all of your Deltec

Cozmo® insulin pump supplies. Check the

contents of your box with your shipping

list. Call your supplier if you have questions

about the contents of your box.



2 Read this entire User Manual as it contains

important information, including warnings

and cautions, for the safe use of the pump.



3 View the instructional CD. If you do not

have home access to a computer, contact

your local library, school, or healthcare

provider.



4 Set up your pump start date, time, and lo-

cation. Your Deltec Cozmo® insulin pump

Personal Pump Trainer (PPT) will call you

to schedule your training.



5 Conrm with your physician when to

change or stop your current intermediate/

long-acting insulin injections.

 Deltec Cozmo® insulin pump carton

(including all accessories and this User

Manual)

 CoZmonitor® Blood Glucose Module

carton, including all accessories (or your

meter and test strips/sensors if you do

not use/have the CoZmonitor® module)

 CoZmanager® 2.0 soware and PC

laptop computer (if you have one)

 Infusion sets

 Deltec Cozmo® 3 mL cartridges

 IV Prep Wipes (or another brand of

wipe for preparing your infusion site)

 IV 3000 Prep Dressing (or another

brand for your infusion site)

 AAA (IEC LR03) batteries



rapid/short acting insulin for your pump
